WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL SITE OF
THE ALBANY BASS CLUB
The Albany Bass Club is the oldest fishing club in the state of Georgia. The club was founded in 1972, with a small group of Charter members. These guys were just your average fishermen looking for a little friendly competition and fellowship. They envisioned this new club as more of a social group with a focus on fishing. As the club's popularity grew, so did the membership. The club now retains a maximum of 50 members (25 teams).
The Albany Bass Club holds monthly club tournaments, (2) two-day tournaments and a Husband & Wife tournament each year. Our tournament directors keep a record of all fish weighed-in by our anglers and report club standings each month. Trophies and awards, along with the usual bragging rights, are presented at the annual Christmas banquet by the club officers. Our members tend to be pretty competitive when it comes to fishing, but you'll also find that we take great pride in the club and all of the accomplishments of our fellow club members.

Dear Fellow Fishermen,
For the past 45 years, the Albany Bass Club has taken great pride in sponsoring one of the largest charity bass tournaments in the southeast. We have been fortunate to have met thousands of fishermen who share our passion not only for fishing, but for improving the lives of our fellow man. With your help, we have been able to raise approximately $500,000 for worthy causes in Georgia and Alabama, and for that, we are truly grateful! As you know, the past three years have certainly been transitional for our tournament, and after much thought and consideration, the Albany Bass Club has decided to relinquish our sponsorship of the annual fundraiser. Fortunately, Sam Williams will carry on the last Saturday in March legacy as he continues the Scott Woodruff Heart Transplant Tournament. The 2022 tournament will be held March 26, at Lakepoint, and we encourage you to get registered at alclassic.com. Thank you and good fishing! The Albany Bass Club |
